So What Can You Expect from SSG2?
SSG2 is what you know and love from Super Stickman Golf and a whole lot more!
First off we have 20 New Courses. Well, 16 brand new courses and 4 classics that have been re-imagined with the new mechanics. Masters of the original Moon Base are going to find that Laser Moon Base is an entirely different beast. By rebuilding the game from the ground up, we were able to implement new dynamic objects like the massive Windmill you see in the trailer. These items add a whole new level of fun and interactivity to the game.
The courses are split into 5 Tours, and just like classic SSG, you have to at least par the previous course to unlock the next one. However Tours are based on your overall level. So if you are stuck on one course, you simply need to earn some more XP by playing courses and then level up to unlock a new batch of courses.
The biggest addition to the game is A-Sync Multiplayer or what we are calling, Turn Based Multiplayer. In this mode you can compete with your friends or randomly against strangers on a hole by hole basis. If you played Song-Pop or Draw Something you will be familiar with the “you go first, then I play my turn, then I play the next turn, then wait for you” mechanic. Oh yea, you will also be able to play this mode cross platform on iOS and Android. How do you like them apples?
Of course what would SSG2 be without the classic Race Mode? Well we couldn’t just have the same old thing, so we created a new 8 Player Race Mode that works locally. Trust me when I say this is one of the most hectic, fun, hilarious and profanity inducing things you will ever play with your friends. Classic 2-4 Player Race mode is also available online to compete with golfers around the globe.
We also heard that our pudgy white stickman was getting lonely out there on the fairway alone so we added a bunch of new unlockable characters. Think you have what it takes to earn the extremely rare Golden Child? I’d like to see you try!
And lastly what would an iOS game be without some hats? Well we got’em but they are not just for style. Hats can be earned randomly and each has a unique ability that can help you depending on the situation. Some hats are great for multiplayer, some are great for the campaign, it is up to you to decide what you like best.
We would also like to send a very special thanks to everyone who helped out with the Beta testing. The feedback helped us immensely and we have a better game because of it. We definitely couldn’t have done it without you. Stay tuned for the launch date coming in March and we hope you guys love the game as much as we do!

Hello i love games
hey Jordan, remember me? I was the guy who sent in the drawing of my level idea. I’m really happy to see you guys used my portal idea and the giant windmill. Any ways, gonna be a buy right away game for me. Thanks
YYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ohhh this is going to be the greatest game iOS has ever had.
Oh man…. Looks and sounds awesome!
To say this was one of the (if not THE most) most highly anticipated games of 2013 would be the understatement of the year.
Not long to wait now!
CHOMP-CHOMP-CHOMP.
Please tell me this is not going to be out late march… i was thinking more of the first week or so of march??? hahaha come on guys we are chomping at the bits!!!
This looks INTENSE!!!!!
.awesome.
Do all multiplayer modes work cross-platform? The blog post mentioned the Turn-Based Multiplayer working with this. I really hope we can do local, Race, cross-platform multiplayer.
I hope that’s is the case too, otherwise (once the released hype dies down a bit) with all of these new online Multiplayer modes it could take forever to sync into a race match.
noodlecake games, please answer this question about cross platform multiplayer! I would really like to know because my friend has an iphone but I have an android and I would love to play race mode with him! a response would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Yes and no. The game will launch with Turn Based cross platform multiplayer, however race mode will be unique to iOS to start. This is because to make the Race Mode work, we use Apples Game Center service and currently there is nothing that works the same way on Android. We are looking into solutions and hope to have an update to the Android version that allows it after launch. However even if we either create our own solution or integrate a 3rd party one, we wont be able to link it up to Apples Game Center as that is iOS only. It sucks we know but that is just the reality of some of the services on iOS vs Android. The fact that we were able to create our own solution for turn based that is cross platform was no easy feat and real time is an entirely different beast.
@Team NoodleCake
Thank you for the reply! It’s sad to see that the multiplayer will be like that, but I won’t let it from stopping me from enjoying the game. Good luck finding that Android solution!
Sorry for the double post, but:
When you mentioned the “Game Center service”, are you talking about Wi-Fi (Matchmaking) strictly? I recall SSG1 have a Bluetooth mode, and that is why I’m asking this. Can local (Bluetooth) races be done cross-platform? Is this Bluetooth function even in SSG2?
Once again, I really appreciate the reply, and it really shows your dedication towards your fans.
-we want SSG2!
-when do we want it?
-NOW!!
Come on donkeys. GIVE US A RELEASE DATE! Enough donkeying around.
Wwwhhheeeeennn ????
Please, tell me when !!!
Seriously. Finish the game, and give us a date already. This is brutal.
We appreciate everyones enthusiasm about the game and totally understand it sucks not having a release date. The big problem is that Apple has to approve the app and this can take time, especially if they reject it for whatever reasons. The second we know the game is available to be on sale, we will post the release date. We are in the same boat as you guys right now unfortunately.
Thx !!
It’s Nice to have an answer guys !!
I badly want to play SSG2
Leave em alone guys! They’ve worked really hard to bring us this game and I’m pretty sure they want to release it even more than we want to play it. Thanks for all your hard work, Noodlecake! Love you guys! Can’t wait to experience the new game.
Wow the process for releasing a game is RIDICULOUS. Apple sucks. If you have a developers license you should be able to release whenever you want to. Too much red tape involved.
Any estimate on price of game? Super stoked btw, have Ben playing stick golf since 2010 and have been waiting a long time for SSG2!!

You can at least give us an “anticipated release date” and the price. I’m not paying more than $9.99 just so you nerds know.
Come on Apple, approve! <3
