Noodlecake Studios is a small indie game studio & publisher based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Founded in early 2011, Noodlecake found success with its first game, Super Stickman Golf, and has since expanded into publishing, releasing games on multiple platforms. Their latest games Super Stickman Golf 3 & Flappy Golf 2 have been featured widely across the world in both the Apple App Store and Google Play. Noodlecake works closely with other game developers across the world and has released over 100 games in the past 6 years.

Noodlecake prides itself in being a small, lean company. We expect employees to be able to work independently as well as within small internal teams. Every employee may need to wear several different hats as the technology landscape changes. Thus, we are looking for someone that can hit the ground running and that has a “full stack” of skills.

Software Developer – Mobile Video Games

Noodlecake is looking for a motivated Software Developer to join their First Party Development Team. Over the past 6 years Noodlecake Studios created several mobile games including Super Stickman Golf (series), Flappy Golf (series), Lunar Racer, & most recently King Chomp.

Our focus is currently in multiplayer technology. We have built our own server side platform which is currently powering King Chomp. This position will have a focus on creating games that build and improve upon this platform.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with first party game team
  • Be involved in the game creation process, including brainstorming, prototyping, development, testing, and launching games
  • Write good clean code
  • Design and implement new game features
  • Maintain and update existing game, engine, & server code

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Familiar with C, C#, Objective C, C++, Java, Python
  • Competency with Xcode, Android Studio, Eclipse
  • Version Control (git) is an asset
  • Ability to manage time effectively and self start tasks
  • Familiarity with reliable and unreliable networking protocol and topologies.
  • Experience with game development using some of Cocos2d, Box2d, Unity, etc.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Software Developer – Publishing

Noodlecake is looking for a motivated Developer to join their Publishing Team. Over the past 6 years Noodlecake Games has helped dozens of indie devs launch games on both iOS and Android platforms.

Although game development experience is a plus, it is not required. We are focused on finding excellent employees that have proven themselves through hard work, are eager to learn, can adapt to new technologies, and love solving problems.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Work with partner developers to fix bugs and complete games
  • Integrate 3rd party SDKs for serving advertisements, tracking analytics, etc.
  • Help polish the last 10% & ship finished products
  • Use Noodlecake porting technology to convert iOS games to Android platform
  • Develop and improve Noodlecake technologies including porting, cross-promotion, analytics, and financial tools
  • Ensure development tasks are completed & timelines are met
  • Write good clean clode

Skills / Qualifications:
